The Olive Tree – Italian food cooked with Neapolitan passion
Authentic Italian cuisine
The Olive Tree is a testament to the passion we feel for great food, hospitality and the guests who have in many cases become our friends. Our authentic Italian cuisine and friendly welcoming atmosphere make our restaurant the perfect venue for a relaxing evening for customers old and new.
A glance into head chef Rafe’s culinary beginnings sets the scene for what we guarantee will be every foodie’s dream. Rafe was born in Castellammare di Stabia, a town about 20km from Naples and Sorrento, under the shadow of Vesuvius. He was taken under the wing of the Giorgio family in Capri when he started a summer job at the age of 10 in the kitchen. The Matriarch and head chef recognised and nurtured his natural talent and he went on to work in the prestigious hotels and restaurants of Capri.
So what are you waiting for, one visit and you’ll be hooked…
Our customers just love The Olive Tree experience…
My boyfriend and I ate at The Olive Tree last night. The decor combines traditional eighteenth century features of the building, with an authentic Italian feel. There are lovely oils of Venice amongst others on the wall. It is incredibly reasonable for the quality of the food, I had a carne course of duck and it was around sixteen pounds, what you would expect to pay in a very mediocre pub. The staff are both warm, welcoming and professional, the service was fast but one was not rushed. It was busy although it was a Thursday night.I would definitely recommend it, especially for a special occasion.
